Gentle Flow Yoga, Yoga Nidra, and Sacred Circle to connect with self and others
We begin with a gentle, embodied, all-levels yoga practice to get clear & connected to ourselves. This adaptive style of yoga can be practiced on a mat or from a chair; meet yourself kindly wherever you are, and open to creative possibilities. This part of the practice ends in with Yoga Nidra. Following, we integrate our experiences in Sacred Circle, to share and explore whatever truths, insights & reflections that arise, practicing the craft of deep listening, authentic voice, and holding space in compassionate community. We will review our Sacred Circle group guidelines and principles each time we gather, to uphold a safe and welcoming environment to all.
Simple to Practice; Profound in Impact. Yoga Nidra means Yogic Sleep. It is a state of conscious Deep Sleep. In Meditation, you remain in the Waking state of consciousness, and gently focus the mind, while allowing thought patterns, emotions, sensations, and images to arise and go on. However, in Yoga Nidra, you leave the Waking state, go past the Dreaming state, and go to Deep Sleep, yet remain awake. On the most basic level, Yoga Nidra relaxes, rejuvenates and renews the physical body. It also empowers you to eliminate unconscious obstructions and energetic blocks that prevent you from living your life to the fullest. Through regular practice, Yoga Nidra enables you to effortlessly realize your intentions and achieve an integrated state in which your body moves towards self-healing. Yoga Nidra works by immersing your brain in the healing rhythms of the alpha state. Here, you simultaneously access the power of the logical left brain and the intuitive, insightful right brain, and align your sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous systems to restore the body and mind to homeostasis. This is a state of oneness, where you tap into creative powers beyond the ego-mind and have access to healing on a physical, mental and emotional plane.
This workshop is tailored to help you manage a build-up of stress, feelings of worry, restlessness, and uneasiness, through the practice of asana, pranayama, and meditation. Includes a complete Yoga Nidra practice.
